91ÁÔÆæ is immersed in generational stories, from its first-generation programs to the legacies of its alumni. Here's one that reflects the last 50 years of the school's history. It's the story of a family's journey through the injustices of segregation and racism, the struggles and sacrifices of the civil rights era, to finally lifting up the descendants of those who fought those fights and not only survived but transformed 91ÁÔÆæ, Texas and the world.

Jianna Covarelli, who recently began her one-year term as student regent on the 91ÁÔÆæ System Board of Regents, has made use of every resource at 91ÁÔÆæ to sharpen her vision, refine her goals and prepare herself for her coming career.
91ÁÔÆæ’s Rosa-Davila appointed to accreditation board

Emarely Rosa-Davila, PhD, assistant professor and program coordinator of 91ÁÔÆæ’s bachelor of social work program, has been appointed to a three-year term with the Council on Social Work Education’s Board of Accreditation, which governs accreditation nationwide.
