Food is a Passport is a hands-on, culturally enriched nutrition and culinary camp designed for students who love food, cooking, learning and trying new things. During this multi-day experience, students will “travel” to different regions of the world; exploring the flavors, ingredients, and food traditions that make each culture unique.
Participants will learn kitchen skills, taste-test foods, learn how cultural identity influences diet, and prepare simple, healthy dishes inspired by global cuisines. Throughout the camp, students will also learn about balanced nutrition, mindful eating, and how to make connections between food, culture, science and health.
