According to Elizabeth Plowman, DPT β12, βPhysical therapy never gets boring.β And, Plowman, a Texas Womanβs School of Physical Therapy alumna and an assistant clinical professor in Houston, should know. Her experiences as a teacher, physical therapist, teacher again and researcher have provided her with opportunities to delve into a varied and fulfilling career, while making advances in both her own health and the health of others.

Putting service into physical therapy practice

For many Texas Womanβs students, there is nothing more exciting and rewarding than putting the education they received in the classroom into real-world practice, especially when it involves serving others. That is exactly what nine Dallas Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students discovered on their service trip to Puerto Rico in May, when they helped those who needed their skills the most.
