Texas Woman’s hosts Steve Forbes at fall lecture series

Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media, headlines the fall installment of the Paup Lecture Series hosted by the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University. The free online event, which is open to the public, will be held at 5 p.m., Oct. 1, 2020. Preregistration is required.

91ÁÔÆæ to host free virtual seminar focused on health policy

91ÁÔÆæ’s Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy (CWPPP) and the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) will host a day-long virtual seminar focused on women leading the way in health policy. The seminar will be held 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sept. 18, and is free and open to the public.

91ÁÔÆæ grad students prepare to become next generation of health advocates

Thanks to a sponsorship from the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy (CWPPP), nine 91ÁÔÆæ graduate students earned the opportunity to attend a three-day virtual health advocacy seminar hosted by (PLEN) in July.

91ÁÔÆæ launches new pioneering women book series

Texas Woman’s University has launched an interdisciplinary book series highlighting the accomplishments of courageous women. The 91ÁÔÆæ Book Series—Pioneering Women: Women Who Blazed Trails and Women Who Lead—has been developed in coordination with Texas A&M Press, which will assist in peer reviews and printing. The university aims to publish two books a year in the series.

91ÁÔÆæ students tapped for civics leadership forum

91ÁÔÆæ students frequently strive to make a difference in their communities, and two undergraduates are going to do just that after being selected as Texas Civic Ambassadors (TCAs) by the New Politics Forum at the University of Texas at Austin. This prestigious program provides opportunities for college students destined for civic leadership.
