Alumna's 'Unique' program wins national award

Texas Woman's alumna Christina Buce was in her first year as an elementary school counselor when her principal challenged her to βget creativeβ with the schoolβs awareness days β those days focusing attention on key health issues. Buceβs response not only captured the hearts and minds of the school community, but won a national award as a Promising Practice as well.
Texas Woman's launches biliteracy certificate program

This fall, Texas Womanβs University launches a new graduate certificate in biliteracy, the only one of its kind in the state. Educators can earn the certificate with the option of applying the credits toward a masterβs degree in reading education.
